Maximise Your Chances To Make Money Blogging By Advertising Your Blog

There are a number of ways that people with blogs can make money blogging, these include Adsense, affiliate marketing, advertising products and services and other things that result in the blogger earning money from their traffic. Naturally the more traffic that a blog receives the higher the chances are that some of these visitors will become customers or click on the blog ads which in turn makes more money for the blogger, so being able to advertise your blog is an important skill.
A cost effective way of advertising your blog is to concentrate on optimising your content for search engines so that if people search for keywords that are relevant to the topics you like to blog about you will appear on the first page and one of the great things about getting this right is that it is effectively free advertising. Of course there are so many blogs out there these days that it is getting more and more difficult to stand out in the search engines, however if you make search engine optimisation part of your blogging process it will ultimately pay off.
Some of the ways you can improve your rankings in the search engines is to ensure that when you are using your keywords on your blog you do so in the right places, after all while putting keywords all over the place seems useful the search engines actually treat your keywords differently depending on where they are on your site and in your articles. So, make sure your keyword is in the title of your post and include it in the first and last sentence of your articles, use titles with your keywords and include them in your image tags and you will find that your blog will appear in more and more search results, getting your more traffic.
Other techniques for advertising which will help you to make money blogging include looking for forums or message boards that are relevant to your topic of choice and to participate in discussions with other members. Help people to solve their problems or offer them helpful advice that is relevant to your blog and people will be more than willing to check out what else you have to say on your own site, but don't just spam them with links to your site or blatantly try to sell them something, this will do more harm than good.
A good way to tackle the forums is to participate in advance of creating your blog, even if you can't do this then don't add a link to your blog in your post signature straight away, build up some posts and relationships first and then start to let people know what else you have to say. Whenever you mention your own blog just do so casually, if you've answered a question about how to do something and you know there is additional helpful content on your blog then you could mention it as an additional source of information and don't be afraid to let people know that it's your blog.
So there are a couple of ideas to help you to advertise your blog and in turn make money blogging, there are so many ways to get the word out that it pays to find a technique you are comfortable with and then stick to it. Definitely try to resist jumping around from one technique to another as you are likely to get frustrated with the lack of results, simply perfect one of the techniques first and then move on as the first one becomes second nature and you will soon find that you have a decent arsenal of advertising methods that will make it all the more easy to make money blogging.
